The Otis Rush composition “It Takes Time” reached its copyright termination period this month and reverts to the family publishing company.  Originally released in 1958, this quintessential example of Chicago blues features Rush’s moaning vocal and ominous guitar supported by a steady backbeat as he sings “you know what it means to be alone.”
