The new HBO series “Perry Mason” uses a vintage composition and track by Lonnie Johnson (episode airing July 5).  The tune “Uncle Ned Don’t Use Your Head”  is heard drifting out from a 1930s Hollywood bungalow.  According to HBO, this re-imagined series salutes cool cars, great hats and speakeasy awesomeness  — an unashamed, old-timey, popcorn gobbling pulp entertainment and a valentine to the City of Angels.
