Bates Meyer is assisting the family of influential singer and R&B pioneer Nappy Brown in recovering royalty rights.  Most recently, Brown’s recording for the historic Savoy Label “Open Up That Door” has been running in a national Google TV commercial.  The artist who straddled gospel, R&B and soul began his recording career in 1954 resulting in a series of early hits, “Don’t Be Angry,” “Little By Little” and “Night Time Is the Right Time.”
