Bates Meyer handled the song research for “Forever On My Mind,” a collection of previously unreleased tracks by Delta blues titan Son House.  The trove of quarter-inch tapes, originally recorded in 1964 was restored to remarkable clarity by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and released on Auerbach’s label Easy Eye Sound earlier this month.
