Bates Meyer is licensing music for the documentary film “Third Act” which will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025.  The story chronicles the life of Robert Nakamura, often called the godfather of Asian American film. After spending three years in the Japanese internment camp Manzanar, Nakamura becomes a filmmaker, giving voice to the Asian American consciousness of the 1960s.  Piano-based cues elegantly carry Nakamura to his very personal closing chapter.
